Our Midwest Adventure, Part 1 - Minneapolis

We just returned from a two week trip to visit friends & family in the midwest. Maggie & I started in Minneapolis to visit Aunt Red & Aunt Peach, and their little ones: Grace, Claire & Liam.

We spent our days in the backyard splashing in the kiddie pool, swinging & climbing on the swingset, and giggling over the slip n' slide. A few good ventures out & about town, reliving a few childhood memories... and of course time well spent in the kitchen, cooking & eatting... and cooking & eatting some more! There is much to be said about lazy summer days in the midwest with family. It doesn't get much richer than this!

And of course Maggie had to meet some of her new buddies, so we ventured over to Sherry's house for a visit with Quinn & Gabriel. Kari joined us with Georgia & Lucas. Maggie was grinning from ear-to-ear as usual. She just loves people her height, or there about!

Table Top Teethers

We had breakfast over in North Beach at the famous Mama's Restaurant, and then had a little play time in Washington Square with Guido & Mariah. The two little ones sat next to eachother in their high chairs, eatting cheerios & baguettes, and charming the pants off everyone around them. The table of ladies next to us were loving it! I don't think Maggie was all that into anything other than Guido & nibbling on the table. It was one of those parent moments, when you realize you could sit there all day entertained by your little one... and then snap, the next thing you know they are just that tiny bit older & somehow have managed to be even that more beautiful.
