A Dream Come True

Ever since I can remember, well...ok, ever since my adulthood I have always had this wonderful dream of my children running around the backyard, laughing, playing in the grass, coming in & out as they pleased. And I cannot tell you how incredibly elated I was when that came true this past week!!!! All of a sudden it was happening & it just froze me in time. Smiling from ear-to-ear, I just bask in the glory of it.

A few recent Maggie photos, mostly highlighting her new love for climbing!

Qwauk, Qwauk, Qwauk.

Ok, remember a few weeks ago when we spent the afternoon at the park; more specifically feeding the ducks with daddy & being totally mesmerized by the whole experience???!!

Well a few days ago, as we were all lying in bed slooooowly waking up Maggie started blurting out 'cock, cock, cock' over & over again. Joel & I bolted up with confusion. Whoa, where did that come from & what is she saying. Beyond it sounding pretty darn funny, it was the first time the sound 'ca' had entered her vocabulary.

And then today, a light bulb went off. 'Maggie, what does the duck say?' and she was quick to reply 'cock, cock, cock.' Man did I get a good chuckle out of that one.

It's funny how you hear a new sound, scratch your head a bit as to what they are saying, and kinda go along with it with a 'oh, yeah... tell me more.' And then BAM... suddenly you understand it & couldn't be more proud in that moment. Oh, and then demand they say it a hundred times over.

A Righty or a Lefty???!!?

we use to lean towards her being right handed, but i don't know after watching her scribble with her new crayons today. she was lefty all the way with those! remains to be seen...

this is maggie's new expression, it's hysterical! it's her inspector, are you sure, i'm not sure about that kinda look. and it's usually quickly followed by...
