Sunglasses

Last week I put my sunglasses on Maggie & I immediately started to crack up. She looked SO cute & a bit like Mr. Magoo. She started to laugh when I did and kept looking around with them on. So when given the opportunity to purchase a pair of her own sunglasses, how could I resist!

The Urban Pool

It was a beautiful morning, warm may I add, which is fairly rare for San Francisco in July. Avi & Jill had just spent the night - it was a good old-fashioned slumber party with the ladies! We were looking for a little outdoor fun when suddenly the idea of 'the Urban Pool' came about. All we needed was a storage bin, toys from the bathtub & a little chilly garden hose water & voila...

Our Midwest Adventure, Part 3 - Madison

and we finished up our midwest tour with, last but certainly not least - MADISON! home of the badgers, the best cheese curds, the union, and now the pfeiffers.

a few of maggie's highlights:


giggling quiet a bit over avi's bath time hair & 'bango' toy,



helping daddy get ready for his dj gig with nick nice,


kicking back on steve's boat on lake mendota,


chatting it up with avi at the union over a brat,


assisting avi in cleaning out the closet,



visiting with jessica & ryan o'connor.

Maggie's FIRST word: MOM

or better known as 'mom-ma-mom-ma.' we weren't sure if she just found that sound and was working on it, but it became clear very quickly that she completely knows what she is saying.

i melt every time....

and 'bye-bye' is slowly forming with the backwards wave!

Our Midwest Adventure, Part 2 - Fond Du Lac

we had a few beers with uncle tony,


we played with cousin zoe leu,



we met & visited with great grandma eveyln leu,



we had good playtime with grandpa leu,


we bathed in the sink, cuz we could,


we swam every chance we had,


and we celebrated joel & angie's birthday.

not to mention we enjoyed warm summer evenings, time with joel's high school friends, delicious meals by grandma carol leu, a bbq with aunt mary, zoe & phoebe... we just loved on all the aunts, uncles, cousins, sisters, brothers, moms, dads. it was a FABULOUS visit to good ole fond du lac, WISCONSIN!

4th of july weekend fun

it started off with joel throwing me a surprise party for my birthday... although i was on to him from the beginning! dinner at bacar & drinks and dj music at luna lounge, all while maggie was fast asleep.

then it was off to the fillmore jazz festival with maggie, followed by a bbq at kim & ken's house, with maggie's girlfriend merrin! (and of course lexi & pat).

sunday we (maggie & i, while dad worked) ventured over to stern grove to experience a little more music. it's this WONDERFUL outdoor free music festival every sunday during the summer. maggie & i danced to a

new orleans brass band

popped bubbles our neighbor kept blowing & played in the grass.



on monday i took maggie to her FIRST swim lesson. i have had her in the pool since she was 3 months old, but this was the first actual lesson. now, when i say lesson it's more like singing & dancing in the pool. she LOVED it!

we headed over to visit joel at his new job, elephantpharmacy.com. SO happy to see him in a new & healthy atmosphere.

and finally.... the FOURTH OF JULY, maggie's first. although she was fast asleep during the fireworks! maybe next year.
